A short, social-media-friendly video on kinesiology research that could help with earlier diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. I shot the raw video and built the final product in Adobe Spark.
Social media videos to promote the 2019 URI Brain Fair. Concept, design, animation, videography, and editing by me.
The first video is an introduction to the founding and mission of the Ryan Institute for Neuroscience; the second video allows institute researchers to talk about their personal connections to their work on Alzheimer’s disease.
I worked with a freelance videographer/editor and university staff to produce these videos.
CM is the alumni magazine of Commonwealth School in Boston. I created it in 2010 as a means to combine, update, and upgrade what had been three separate alumni publications. Designer Jeanne Abboud was an essential partner in developing the format, look, and feel of the new magazine.
The Fall 2014 issue of CM received a Gold Medal in the CASE District 1 competition in the category of Independent School Magazines.

In 2010 I led a complete overhaul of the admissions publications at the Commonwealth School.
Working from constituent feedback that previous publications had not conveyed the fun and excitement of the school, the new viewbook intentionally enlivened the school’s imagine, introducing color and highly evocative photography while retaining top-notch copy and an emphasis on intellectual exploration.
This viewbook received a national Silver Award from CASE for Publications Improvement.

At Drury University I led a university-wide rebranding, the first implementation of integrated strategic communications at the university. We developed research-based positioning and used those key messages and distinctive attributes to develop a new visual identity for the university.
At the same time we convinced the Athletics division to consolidate disparate team logos into a unified family based on the panther mascot.
Case statement prepared in advance of Commonwealth School’s most recent capital campaign. I was principal author of the main text, selections of which are shown here.
